All success begins in the form of a single idea. The great inventions, movements, and discoveries of the world each began in the thoughts of a person.

But thought alone is not enough. Once given the seed of an idea, an individual must take on another quality — faith — before he can begin to bear the fruit of his idea.

Faith inspires action, which is the beginning of an idea’s journey from thought to manifestation. Through action comes trial and error, small victories, giant losses, and ultimately the bridging of weaknesses.

It is at this point, finally, once a person has bridged his weaknesses, that he can finally embody the essence of his or her true self. Once this has happened, and a person has stepped into his potential, no man, woman, or act of God can hold this person from victory – for he has earned his place among the stars.

Bad ideas with bad plans, when acted upon with absolute faith, courage, and perseverance, defeat good ideas with good plans acted upon lazily, incompletely, or insincerely, every time.

There is no shortage of money, labor, materials, or good ideas, rather, there is only a shortage of faith, and people possessing this irreplaceable quality. To the person who finds this within himself go the spoils.

I had a peer tell me last month that I needed to find a hobby.

You know, because I work too much. Because I don’t spend my time surfing, womanizing, and doing the other things 25 year old guys are supposed to do.

So, I got to thinking — what ARE my hobbies?

After spending time reflecting, I know what my hobbies are – I love building businesses, learning, and working out. These are the things you CAN’T take from me. No matter what situation you put me in, I’ll find a way to do these things. When I don’t do these things, my mental attitude gets progressively worse on a day to day basis, and my happiness deteriorates.

So — what does this have to do with WEALTH? Simple.

Every single person is born wealthy. We all have the capacity to be endlessly happy, and to live in a world that fills us with joy.

That doesn’t mean that everyone will make a ton of money. Money is nice, and everyone is capable of making money – but, to many people, money is not what makes them happy, and the things that make them happy do not necessarily make them money.

Take the surfer, for example. All he needs is a surfboard and the ocean – a gift from God – to be happy. Money is not necessary for him to find joy. Now, he may make good money if he’s a professional surfer, but he doesn’t need the money to be wealthy. I could be endlessly jealous of this man for his capacity to find joy in the simple things.

Flipping the script, that same surfer could be jealous of me. I’m 25, have had a little success in business, have my own place, a new car, and a fair share of nice things. He could say “Look at Russell – he’s got it made”. But he’s missing the point. Just as I can be jealous of him for finding his wealth in surfing, he can be jealous of me for finding my wealth in business.

We’re all born with the capacity to be endlessly wealthy – whether or not that involves money. The only thing you can really do to keep yourself from being wealthy is compare yourself to others. Envy what others have. Lose sight of the gold in your mind, your heart, and your own backyard, and you’ll most certainly find yourself living in a world of poverty – despite what material possessions you have.

What makes you rich?

I’ve read a lot of books.

Some of them incredible, mind-stretching, thought-provoking, and life changing…

…and some of them straight up SUCKED!

However, if I were to choose between all the books I’ve read, and single out just one that’s extremely life-changing -

The Science of Getting Rich

It’s hard for me to choose a “favorite”… especially when Napoleon Hill’s classics Think and Grow Rich and Succeed and Grow Rich Through Persuasion had the biggest impact on me at the time I read them…

…but I am going to push those to the side for now, in favor of a much simpler, easy-to-grasp book, with far less instruction.

That’s why I recommend you read The Science of Getting Rich now.

It’s a short book, and it can come off as a bit lunatic, cultish, or whacky if you choose to analyze and judge it instead of just taking it in.

But — and this is a BIG but!! — if you read this book, and you sincerely practice what it talks about, you will get the things you want out of life.

Maybe you want money, love, health, whatever it is…

The principles in this book truly line you up with the abundance you deserve.

In fact, you can ignore all other books on how to make money while applying this book.

On top of that, it’s suggested not mixing up the message with anything else, and simply read this book over and over again until you are rich, because it will work if and only if you completely believe it can work and really give it a try.

This book changed my outlook on how to make money, and taught me how to get in alignment with the fortune that’s there for me.
